I have noticed that I still have not written anything about vertical blinds, which surprised me a lot because these are one of my favorite blinds.
When we hear vertical blinds, the first thing we think in is an office, or the waiting room in a medical center… and we go back to the nineties. At least that’s what use to happen to me until the vertical blinds were relaunched with screen fabrics and/or polyscreen. And wow can the difference be noticed!
Nowadays, vertical blinds are used practically to cover all the rooms of a house, living rooms, dining places, big kitchens and the thing is that vertical curtains stand out for their elegance, minimalistic esthetic, their functionality and versatility.

Additionally, they have the advantage that with two simple movements you can control the most precision of light entrance we want with each movement, given that their blinds can rotate up to 180o.
And not only that, they can also open up to the right or left, to the opposite side of the chain , to both sides and to the center (this last option is perfect when we have two big windows separated by a small wall)
Currently we are working with blinds of 89mm and 127mm and with a great color range and fabrics, both technical and decorative.
This type of blinds have infinite ways of installation, for example in rooms with inclined ceiling, and it can even be installed with a curved rail to créate a folding screen and divide different spaces inside a same room.

There’s also the option of cutting the blinds so it can be adapted perfectly to a window of a stairway or the colors can be combined in order to get an original decoration.

At what time do you agree with me that they are the most functional?
Even though they can be installed with multiple fabrics, I don’t want to deny that my favorite for these blinds is a screen or Polyscreen, no doubt about it. I wouldn’t doubt it for an instant.
Many people ask me for advice on how to clean vertical blinds so here they are:
- Before anything, we must place the blinds in a parallel way to make the job easier at the cleaning time.
- They can be cleaned by passing a wet cloth on them through each side of the blind and let them dry, also a vaccum can be used (with a low level of absroption so the blinds won’t be damaged).
- If you need to clean them more thoroughly, an idea I give you is to unhang the blinds from the rail and put them inside the bathtub with warm water and neutral soap. Passing the hand through them (without rubbing or squeezing them) and then rinse them well and hang them and let them dry so they can go back to their original state.
- But if you choose screen blinds, passing a damp cloth through will be enough.
As always, I leave you some images. One of these is from our shop, Área Deluxe, located in Polígono de Son Bugadellas, in Santa Ponsa, where we have some amazing motorized vertical.
