Shade Sail – Santa María

This client came to us through a referral from another client. His existing sails wouldn’t tension properly and the masts had bent.

He had an enormous terrace and needed shade over the area with his furniture. Essentially, he wanted shade over part of the terrace and sun over the rest.

The area to cover was quite large, and we didn’t want to create a “bonnet” effect. We wanted a playful shade that matched the house’s flawless decor.

We suggested two triangular sails, with stainless steel corners and a perimeter cable to achieve correct tensioning and keep them from warping.

We also installed masts sturdy enough to withstand the tension of the sails, disguising their bases with plants. Where a mast wasn’t needed, we used wall plates instead, which improved the look and lowered the cost of the product.
