Polyscreen is a product manufactured by Celtic Group and marketed exclusively in Spain by Bandalux.
It’s a fabric that sets itself apart from other screen fabrics on the market (fibreglass coated in PVC), being made from a high-tenacity polyester coated in a high-quality, “in-house made” PVC.
Polyscreen quality
Unlike screen fabrics, Polyscreen:
-
Doesn’t break easily, because it’s made from polyester, the same fibre used for seatbelts, among other things;
-
Doesn’t crack, because it’s not made from fibreglass, guaranteeing a perfect roll-up in roller blinds;
-
Both the PVC and the polyester shrink at the same rate, preventing the fibres from coming loose and the fabric from fraying.
-
Thanks to the high quality of the PVC used (smooth and non-porous), the fabric doesn’t give off unpleasant odours over time.
Polyscreen’s Key Features
Light filtering:
We achieve visual comfort when sunlight is excessive, preventing the fading of fabrics that are part of a room’s décor, such as carpets or upholstery. We also comply with applicable safety regulations, which state that “…windows must be fitted with a suitable, adjustable covering device to reduce daylight in the workplace…”
Privacy:
Prevents the inside of the space from being seen from the outside.
Energy savings:
Thanks to the fabric’s high absorption and reflection, the “greenhouse effect” is avoided, meaning less air conditioning is needed.
Transparency:
Allows good visibility to the outside, creating a sense of greater spaciousness.
No colour distortion:
This is possible thanks to the opacity of the yarn used in the weave, as well as the clean pores between threads, unlike tinted glass.
Simple cleaning and maintenance:
Thanks to its smooth, non-porous PVC coating, it’s easily cleaned with a sponge and soapy water. Dirt doesn’t stick to it easily, which is why it’s recommended for humid environments or those with smoke, grease or similar emissions.
