Managing the Entry of Light

1 min read

We’ve all experienced wanting our home to be bright when choosing or building it, for reasons of comfort and aesthetics.
This is becoming more important every day, so much so that current legislation requires us to optimise the entry of plenty of natural light to achieve the greatest possible energy savings.

But this advantage can, at certain times of day, become a difficulty, causing glare and reflections on computer and television screens.
This means we need to manage the entry of light efficiently, and for that we recommend paying attention to three main factors:

Health: If there’s a lack of light, we have to strain our eyes. And if there’s too much light, we can suffer from glare and be unable to see computer and television screens, among other things.
Ecology: Good light entry and management can reduce the use of artificial light and lower the use of heating and air conditioning.
Decoration: Your home or workplace will look much better.

Fortunately, technology has advanced a great deal and offers us specialised fabrics that vary in density, thickness, transparency of the weave, colour and type of finish. This is where the specialist advice of an expert becomes essential, so as not to make serious mistakes such as reducing the entry of light with a blackout fabric and ending up in complete darkness.

Don’t get the choice of fabric for your curtain or blind wrong — identify your situation properly and solve it correctly and durably!
